The course examines the intersection of Art and Politics from the lens of issues engaging the rights, struggles and realities of homeless people, people at war, the poor, the environment, resistance movements and women. While the course covers a wide array of topics within the discipline of International Relations, it focuses on the role of art as a means of commentary and protest. We will engage with the art mediums of painting, cartoons, song, film, collage and theatre, among others.
